To reach high and stable yields of grain, competently developed and correctly organized systems of fertilizers application is of crucial importance. Application rate of fertilizers depends on availability of mobile forms of mineral elements in the soil, planned productivity and fall out of these elements by the crops. “Nutrivant Plus” allows balancing root and foliar nutrition, to program the plant to reach its maximum biological potential.
When is foliar application of “Nutrivant Plus” needed?
1. When you have set the objective of a maximum yield.
2. In the case of low activity of the root system caused by poor airing, low temperatures or high acidity level.
3. In the case of damages of plants by rodents, nematodes or soil insects.
4. In conditions of drought, superfluous humidity, as inflow of useful substances to the crop through roots in such situation is limited.
5. If necessary with quick replacement or prevention of deficiency of mineral elements.
6. In phases of crops critical growth if roots are not capable to provide to the plant the necessary nutritional elements.
7. When it is necessary to increase crops resistance to diseases and damages by pests.
Nutrition of cereals crops
Results of numerous researches and agricultural practice show, that in cereals cultivation it is possible to underline three basic "critical" phases during which the greatest demand for nutritious components is observed:
1) - Sprouts (foliar nutrition stimulates growth of the main shoots, a forming buds of lateral shoots in axilla, and also growth of embryo root system);
2) - Bushing out (at this stage foliar nutrition provides high activity of morphological processes and allows to prepare the crop for wintering);
3) – Milking ripeness (at this stage foliar nutrition provides qualitative improvement of flowering, formation and development of grains).
On each of these stages the most effective is to apply the complex programs of foliar nutrition for cereals developed by “ICL” experts. The fertilizers used in these programs, contain physiologically proved balanced set of macro and micro elements necessary for cereals. “Nutrivant Plus Cereals” is applied together with herbicides, fungicides and insecticides (if necessary).
If you want to improve frost resistance on winter crops it is necessary to use “Nutrivant Plus” in autumn, that does not contain nitrogen (NP sugar beet, NP oil crops, etc.). You can adjust nutritional compounds in accordance with nutritional deficiency based of soil analyses or exact diagnostics. All “Nutrivant Plus” types might be mixed among themselves and other fertilizers.
When applying foliar application, it is necessary to keep in mind that it is additional feeding supply of plant feeding only and does not replace the basic technology of fertilizers application. It eliminates problems that occur at crop nutrition during antagonism.
Besides that, independently of foliar application phase, foliar nutrition with “Nutrivant Plus” allows to avoid burns of leaves and damage on plants tissues, allows to increase the leaf area of the crops with nutritional drops of solution, and the area of sticking of nutrients on leaf surface and as consequence, to increase nutritional elements penetration into the crop through leaves.
- “Nutrivant Plus” is compatible with most of pesticides and fertilizers. Before mixing with other substances, prepare a small test, mixing with the same substances in a small container.
- “Nutrivant Plus” can be mixed with other fertilizers.
- Addition of “Nutrivant Plus” in working solution together with urea increases efficiency of nitrogen application.
- The solution should be very carefully mixed in order to attain uniformity. The maximal effect from application “Nutrivant Plus Cereals” is reached on high agricultural background and at optimum dozes of standard granulated fertilizers.

Maize/corn. Intensive growth and consumption of nutrients in Maize/corn begins from 7-9 leaves phase. At this time the root system has got stronger and should give a powerful impulse to vegetative growth. First foliar application up to this phase with “Nutrivant Plus Cereals” assists more intensive progress of root system, even despite of the small area of the foliar system (3-5 leaves phase about 5 % from the processed area). However, succeeding on the leaf even with a small surface, “Nutrivant Plus” not only reduces stress after herbicides treatment, but also stimulates the crop. It contains boron (B) and zinc (Zn) in order to replenish the nutritional deficiency and improve generative processes. It is recommended to make a second foliar application at the 7-9 leaves phase in order to obtain maximal effect from foliar application. The second foliar feeding is most justified on intensive and seed crops, and also on high nutrition background.
